Tsiko stated that being in the United States for an entire year was a great experience for her. She stated that it helped her grow as a person and she learned a lot of useful skills. She said that after she returned home to Georgia she saw certain problems with her society that she wished to change. She then used her presentation and communicative skills, which she learned in the United States and she started her own campaign called “Break the Silence” campaign. She talked about how this campaign gave refugee children the opportunity to express their feelings towards domestic violence, which she stated was a huge problem in her country. In her campaign the children participated in activities such as taking pictures and painting their own photos regarding their reactions and understanding of domestic violence. Tsiko stated that the campaign held several seminars with these children regarding how to handle domestic violence in the future and they also discussed which organizations these children could join regarding this campaign as well.
Tsiko now studies at the Tbilisi State University with a major in International Law.
Good luck in your future endeavors Tsiko. We will miss you very much!
